The final days of summer....

As promised, here are some pictures from our recent outing to Morrison and Red Rocks. For the past 4 summers we have been going to the Morrison area to walk along the river and always end the day with ice cream. Halle remembers going the last 3 years. They have a quaint little town with fun stores, unique restaurants, and of course a fun river walk that is very beautiful. Caleb really enjoyed himself this year. He never used to want ice cream or care one bit about having dessert but now the tide has changed and he not only wants to participate in the ice cream eating but he wants his own cone on top of that! This is definitely one tradition we are keeping. This year we paired it with a visit to Red Rocks nearby for a quick hike and walk around a museum they have put in at the top of Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The kids loved it! Caleb is definitely a climber and wanted to try climbing up all by himself. Halle made it, and Caleb ended up on Daddy's shoulders. It was farther than it looked, but we made it and had a great time.
