I'm back.....

I am finally back to my old routine today as upon my return from Missouri I became ill over the weekend and then Halle got the same kind of virus. Caleb had it for 2 days in Missouri. I will just say that it was a stomach bug...YUCK! I think this morning I will fold the 6th load of laundry and call it good. I also wiped the entire house down with Clorox yesterday to kill any remaining germs. Well, the trip went well other than the bug we picked up. Here is a picture of Elijah Aaron......only 4 weeks old last week.

He is a sweet boy and made me feel as if my baby Caleb is huge....They grow up too fast! Caleb took to this baby very well. In the past with other babies he gets very jealous but with Elijah he would kiss his forehead and run in the room to check on him everyday, finding out where he was and was very concerned if he began to cry for any length of time. He tickled his tiny toes with sound effects. tickle, tickle, tickle.....He even learned to say a couple of newer words while we were there. Please, baby, and Cheese (every time the camera was pointed at him) I must be taking lots of photos these days!

We spent most of our time feeding Elijah, changing Elijah(I had forgotten how small newborn diapers are), cleaning, laundry, cooking, visiting, grocery shopping, and just having some time to share in this special season of their lives. I had bought Renee some wall words for Elijah's room that had his name and the meaning below it. She has lots of empty walls and a large room with attached full bathroom for him! We spent lots of time considering our options for the words-framed, unframed, position, height, etc. We finally put it up on Friday just a day before my departure and we both agree it looks great!

Here are a couple more photos from some of Calebs fun-he got to go to a baseball game the first night there to watch Jim's college age son play summer ball. He also enjoyed watching the various birds out the bay window with their set of binoculars.

James 1:17 says that every good and perfect gift comes from above, and every time a baby is born I cannot help but think that is so true. What a sweet, new miracle God chose to bless this family with. I love you Elijah Aaron and new mommy Renee and the whole family! Enjoy this gift from the Lord!
